Fragments of stories

Tired of the tumult of big cities, going thousands of miles becomes a refuge. There, a new human interaction is possible.

This is the starting point of my trip to Nepal. I went to meet these people away from the world, whether by religious belief, fear of cities … Or by necessity.

In search of new landmarks, I dreaded the weather in this monastery differently. Slowly and modestly, I entered into the space of these young Nepalese. From abroad, I became a teacher, then a neighbour, and sometimes a friend.

Each of my photographs became a fragment of stories, taken at the turn of a street, a dinner, a reading, a game or even a television. All these unforeseen but desired encounters showed a new understanding of time, space and people.
